Dig your own tunnels through cooling volcanic cinder. The EMBERS roam the tunnels hunting you — and will ghost through solid rock to cut you off. Corner one and PUMP it full of pressure until it BURSTS — but undermine a BOULDER and every extra ember caught by the same drop pays far, far more. Early heat-outs ride a soft window, then you burn 3 lives. The LAST ember bolts for the surface: catch it or the shaft pays nothing.
