Defender with the scanner made the game — the planet is four screens wide and the fight is always somewhere you cannot see.
Goal: The planet is FOUR TIMES WIDER than your screen, so the fight is almost always somewhere you cannot see — the SCANNER along the top is the whole world, and that is where you actually play. LIFTERS grab the colonists on the ground and haul them toward the sky; one that makes it comes back as a REAVER and hunts you for good. Shoot a lifter mid-haul and the colonist falls: catch them in the air, carry them down and set them safely on the ground for the full save. Lose every colonist in a sector and it goes DARK permanently — it stops producing anyone worth saving and starts breeding reavers instead, so the world you can still defend shrinks around your mistakes. Several abductions run at once with visible clocks and you cannot reach them all; choosing which to answer is the game.
Controls: Drag anywhere (or WASD / arrows) to fly — you auto-fire ahead of you, and the shot leads slightly onto whatever is in front. Tap BOMB (or SPACE) to clear everything on SCREEN — never the rest of the planet. On level-up, tap a card (or keys 1-3) to choose your boon.
