Endless neon cat & mouse. Hunt the marked runner by shunting traffic into them — the road does the damage — then flip sides and outrun the HEAT as the outlaw.
Goal: Two modes on one endless neon highway. INTERCEPTOR (the headline): hunt the runner wearing the red target lock — ramming them yourself barely scratches them, so use the road as the weapon. Shunt traffic into them, punt wrecks down the carriageway, or herd them into a head-on; a car YOU touched hits nearly twice as hard. Bust one and the next name is already on the board, each runner a different character with its own speed, toughness and nerve. Nothing can wreck your patrol car except your own head-on — the shift is endless. OUTLAW: the law is faster than you without nitro, and NITRO is earned only by SCRAPS — shunt rivals and traffic into walls or each other. Weave traffic for near-miss score and to cool your wanted HEAT. As the wanted level climbs the pursuit works through its real toolkit, and each one has a different answer: TACTICAL CONTACT (a unit leans on you and walks you toward the barrier — steer INTO them to hold your line), the PIT (a unit settles on your rear quarter then swings in and spins you — get off their nose, or catch it with opposite lock), the BOX-IN (nose, tail and both flanks — break out before it shuts) and the ROLLING ROADBLOCK (units fan across the lanes ahead and brake the road down — find the gap). Fill the HEAT bar or take a head-on at speed and you’re busted. The road is not one surface: stretches run WET — you can see them coming — and water lets the back step out further while giving you less of it back, so set up early and be ready to catch it. Hold a slide and the car goes SIDEWAYS, lays rubber and pays into the nitro; straighten out of one cleanly and you get the speed back. Watch the REAR-VIEW mirror at the top: a police unit lining you up for a PIT strobes in it.
Controls: ← → / A D steer · ↑ / SPACE nitro (earned via scraps) · ↓ / S brake · E block (interceptor) · P pause
