The gunships in the top rows fire a TRACTOR BEAM, and it does not kill you — stay in it and it TAKES your ship: you lose a fighter and the captor flies it above the formation. Shoot that captor and your ship comes back alongside you as a DUAL FIGHTER — two hulls, two guns, and twice as wide a target. Letting yourself be caught is a real bet, and on your last ship it simply ends the run.
