How to play VECTASNAKE

You against 99 snakes: wall rivals off with light, shoot their heads and outlast the closing void to finish #1 of 100.

Goal: A neon battle-royale snake arena: you and 99 rival snakes drop into one huge arena, and only one survives. Steer to eat glowing orbs and grow; hold BOOST to dash, which burns length and leaves a LIGHT WALL: for about a second the stretch your tail has just left glows white-hot and kills any other snake's head that meets it, so a rival on your tail can be cut off from behind. Make a rival run its head into your body or your wall and it bursts into orbs, and you grow by a fifth of its length on the spot. FIRE shoots a slow bolt of plasma along your heading, one shot every three seconds (the FIRE button counts down): it kills only on a head, any body blocks it, it fizzles out after a short range, each shot costs a little length, and it banks once off the void's rim (a kill on the rebound is a BANK SHOT). Rivals carry the same gun and hold a red aim line before they shoot. The void closes in six stages: the minimap shows the next ring long before it moves, the last ten seconds are counted down, then the void creeps in at a walk and stops again. The screen shows how many snakes are left and who got whom, and a death tells you your place out of 100. Most of the snakes near you at the drop are weak; the sharp ones come later. Late in the match THE SERPENT rises: wall its lunge with your body, or shoot its head while it aims. One life: a whole match lasts about four minutes, and one tap plays again. Close a loop around a smaller snake to BIND it. Wormholes, power-ups, gold bounties, three missions a run and TODAY'S ARENA, the same for everyone.

Controls: Touch: drag, FIRE + BOOST at right · Mouse: point, click fires, Space boosts
